Last night Donovan unfolded a new plan to me, "Mom, I have an idea. You know how I love Legos Star Wars? I am totally going to ask Santa Claus for it for Christmas. That way we can play it whenever we want and it will be OURS." I looked at him and blinked.

"Christmas is a long time away. Do you think you can wait that long?" I wondered if he would get where I was going with this.

"I am NOT going to forget. You're going to help me remember. That's all I want for Christmas." Generally I try to prep my kids for their presents to maximize excitement and gratitude. In this case, with his birthday on Saturday slowly marching (pun!) toward us, I don't think I even need to give him any hints.

And in response to the charming Emily's question about whether or not Donovan is obsessed with will it affect our relationship if I admit that maybe I am a little sort of kind of a tiny wee bit attached to the game myself. I mean, not like I've had a ton of dreams about it or anything. And by a ton I mean more than five?

In totally unrelated news, I signed up for the Warrior Dash and was particularly amused by this item in the waiver:
2. I understand that Warrior Dash presents extreme obstacles
including, but not limited to, fire, mud pits and steep hills.
I not only understand, but am counting on it.

SARAH! You sound like Noah (my four year old!) He tells me atleast once a day, "Mom you know what I dreamed about?" or, "You know what I was thinking about?" He acts totally shocked when I can guess everytime! My husband really loves it too but I can only take so much! HA HA! ;)
