I'm raising thinkers over here.

Prepping for the holidays is in full swing around here. Yesterday, I stopped off at the grocery store to pick up the items I need for tomorrow night's dinner (invitee count is now up to 28 - someone stop me from inviting more people!!) and Donovan reminded me we needed to get the stuff for Santa. I had totally forgotten that a couple weeks ago we had had a discussion about what we were going to put out for Santa Claus when we go to sleep. Since I baked about 33 loaves of bread (I wish that was an exaggeration), I haven't really made the traditional sugar cookies, fudge, caramels, etc. (though I've remedied the caramel situation as of an hour ago - tragedy averted!) I had told the kids we should think of something new we could leave Santa - maybe he gets tired of all the cookies. I was thinking of something like popcorn. But, that's when my kids came up with a brilliant plan, one that is sure to loosen Santa's sack-strings. What are you putting out for Santa? Because here, by our fireplace, we're leaving out a huge glass of chocolate milk and a plate of freshly fried BACON. That's RIGHT! You wish you were as smart as my kids. Now if only I could persuade them to also leave a masseuse standing by...
