Of course she knew it.

In talking about how my brother David is going on a mission to New York City (and reviewing where all their relatives have gone: Brazil, China, France, Texas, Austria, Switzerland, etc.), I overheard this in the car:

D: Guess where I want to go.
A: China?
D: No.
A: France?
No.
Australia?
No.
Italy?
No.
Japan?
No.
South Africa?
No.
Mongolia?
No.
Iowa?
No.
Peru?
No.
Mexico?
No.
Portland?
No.
Sweden?
No.
Russia?
Wait, does it get really cold or really hot there?
Cold.
Then no.
Florida?
No.
Egypt?
No.
Michigan?
NO WAY!
Spain?
No.
Greece?
No.
California?
No.
Turkey?
Is that even real?
Yes.
No.
Philippines?
No.
France?
You already said that.
Oh, right. India?
No.
Costa Rica?
No.
A: New Zealand?
D: YEAH!
A (mutters): I knew it.
D: Yeah, I knew you did.

And this - this is why I don't turn on the radio. Kid conversations are awesome. Boring and awesome. Personally, I was impressed with how many countries/places Ainsleigh came up with (these are only the ones I can recall - there were more. Boringly so many more).

I laughed out loud and had to read your post to David and your dad. I, too, am impressed that she knew so many places, but do you think Dono really had a place in mind or do you think he was waiting for her to say something that appealed to him?

That is funny (and impressive too). Congratulations again on your new calling. You'll be awesome.

Kids conversations can be hilarious. The other day Andrew had on a pair of my shoes and said "Bye, I'm going to work."
Steve: What do you do at work?
Andrew: I grow hairs on my chin.

Loved it.

My boys were all so jealous when KaRynn got her mission call to New Zealand. I thought it was a "Lord of the Rings" thing, though.
